This assembly is a noise generator for model trains, imitating the horn of a diesel locomotive. It is triggered either manually or automatically. Sound power is 2W about. Power is supplied by an AC voltage between 10 V and 18 V. Power consumption is about 200 mA.

A final check the implementation of components and welds.
Im install small ILS on track to where you want the horn fonctioime automatically.
Connect the two son of the ILS on the circuit, the points marked "F-G."
Attach a small magnet under the locomotive, making it well firole ILS, to create the contact.
Connect the 10V output 18Vdu secondary of the supply transformer of the electrical circuit, the points marked "~ k".
When you press the push button BP, the horn sounded.
Whenever the locomotive passes on the ILS, the horn is activated automatically.

The noise generator uses the mixing of three oscillators consist of two doors circuits 4011. Their output drives the power amplifier directly, using the transistors T1 and T2 connected in Darlington. The sound signal is obtained by. the push-button or automatically, thanks to the contact of the ILS. The latter activates the monostable flip-flop consisting of two doors of a 4011 circuit, which transmits a pulse on the input of the oscillator through the transistor T3 and the diode D5. Capacitor C5 provides the duration of the pulse.
The internal power supply integrated circuit is rectified by the diode bridge D1 to D4, and stabilized at 9 V by zener diode DZ, and then filtered by the capacitor Cl.

The installation requires attention.
The components are soldered closest to the printed circuit board, unless all the resistances which are welded vertically.
Start with D1 diodes D5 and the Zener diode DZ, including your voltage 9.1 V is marked in light on it, respecting the position of their ring.
Solder resistors and non-polarized capacitors.
Weld the chemical capacitors, following the polarity indicated on their case. The shortest leg indicates -.
Solder the IC substrates.
Solder the transistors properly orienting the flat. The metal face of the transistor T2 is placed on the circuit, then vissée- The legs are bent and then welded.
Insert the integrated circuits on their support, orienting them correctly.
They are marked by a notch or point, on the left, you on top of their housing.
Connect the push button at the points marked "BP", by small isolated son.
The speaker is connected to the circuit at the points marked "HP" two isolated small son.
